Park Amaryllis uses innovation and advanced technology to develop exclusive, sustainable, resilient and highly productive amaryllis varieties — adding value for growers and consumers alike.
As the first company in the world, we successfully grow amaryllis in the open field, here in the Netherlands. That means year-round availability in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way, with a far lower carbon footprint than glasshouse growing.
Open-field cultivation
Grows from a soil temperature of just 11°C. Planted outdoors in April, harvested from late August to November — using less than 5% of the energy of glasshouse cultivation.
Customer-driven breeding
Our innovations start from the wishes of growers and consumers: from bulb-on-pot to forcing varieties and specialties with upright flowers for mixed bouquets.
Export-ready
All flower bulbs grown in the Netherlands, including the Amaryllis, are under the statutory supervision of the BKD (Flower Bulb Inspection Service). The BKD inspects the quality of the bulbs and carries out the official export inspection. As a result, Dutch Amaryllis bulbs meet international quality and phytosanitary requirements. That makes export easier and faster. This is how you get inspected Amaryllis bulbs of reliable Dutch quality.
